US stocks rebounded on Monday, with all three major averages closing record levels on the first day of trading in November.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 94 points, or 0.26%, while the S&P 500 index and Nasdaq Composite index rose 0.18% and 0.63%, respectively. The Dow gained 190 points on its daily high and briefly climbed above 36,000 points for the first time in its history.

In the equity segment, American Airlines Inc. has canceled more than 1,700 flights since Friday, as the airline has personnel problems due to weather disruptions at its Dallas / Fort Worth international airport hub, according to the airline. In Asia, the Japanese Nikkei 225 rose 2.61% after the ruling party held its majority in Sunday’s general election. Elsewhere in the region, the Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong lost 0.88% and the Chinese Shanghai Composite lost 0.08%.
